The world’s Environment Day 2010 under the theme “Many Species – One Planet – Our Future” urges for prompt actions to stop the decline of the global biodiversity - an important property of human being.
At the meeting, the province’s leader called on sectors, social organisations and people of all walks of life to heighten awareness of environmental protection, and take practical actions to preserve biodiversity and maritime resources, contributing to protecting the country’s environment, sea and islands.
Localities across the province enthusiastically responded to the World Environment Day with tree planting and clean-up programmes.
On this occasion, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) coordinated with Nike Corporation to grow two hectares of forest in Vinh Cuu Natural Reserve.
