Under this plan, the monthly allowance for social protection beneficiaries will increase by 25% to VND 240,000, which is equivalent to 32.8 percent of the local minimum wage.
Addressing at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga urged the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to complete this plan as soon as possible in order to submit it to the Provincial People’s Committee for consideration on June 9. If this plan is approved, more than 27,000 people will get benefits from it with total allowances amounting to over VND 100 billion a year.
