Activities to mark Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

(ĐN)- A grand ceremony to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Vietnams Revolutionary Press Day (June 21) was held at the meeting hall of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee late last week. Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi attended the ceremony.

Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Toi praised the contributions made by Dong Nai press to the cause of industrialization and modernization as well as promotion of the local economic development over the past years. He expressed his hope that local press agencies will continue to bring into play the role of the press in launching and stimulating patriotic movements, encouraging renewal achievements and actively fighting against corruption and social evils; the journalists will also work harder to improve their professional skills in order to meet the public’s increasing demand.

On this occasion, Dong Nai Journalist’s Association awarded and honored the winners at 2010 National Press Prize and Golden Pen Award. Accordingly, the only A prize went to Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh and Duong The Hien from Dong Nais Radio and Television for their television entitled ”Tram can Dau Giay-Loi bat cap hai” (Dau Giay weighing station – more harm than good).
