(ĐN)- At the working session with representatives of relevant agencies in Dong Nai on March 16, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, the standing member of the provincial People’s Council urged local authorities to speed up site-clearance work to quickly give land to the investor for development of Son Tien project. Dung also called on the investor and local authorities to provide jobs to people impacted by Son Tien project and help them stabilise their lives.

The developer said that 344 hectare of land have so far been cleared while the remaining more than 29 hectares of land still to be cleared. The infrastructure of Son Tien project is currently under construction and the developer is speeding up the construction of the resettlement area in order to provide some 55 apartments for displaced families. The developer expected that the Yen Island Ecotourism Resort, covering a 50- hectare site, would be ready to receive visitors in 2010.
