According to report by the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, local traders have already begun preparing goods and commodities for Tet consumption. It is forecasted the price of some commodities will soar in the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday due to an increase in the price of raw materials. However, the price of key commodities such as rice, sugar, chicken, pork and so on are expected to remain unchanged during the Tet holiday.
Local transport companies have prepared enough vehicles to serve the extra passengers on Tet holidays. Transport companies operate 540 passenger cars and another 117 cars being available to meet people’s transport needs on Tet holidays. Relevant bodies are ready to make plans to care for policy beneficiaries and poor families, ensure a happy Tet for them. Relevant agencies have also make plans to organize entertainment activities, exhibitions and fairs to serve the entertainment and shopping needs of local people during the Tet holiday.
Speaking at the working session, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh urged the concerned bodies to take the necessary measures to prevent and control epidemic diseases, as well as ensure food hygiene and safety and traffic safety during the Tet holiday in order to make local people enjoy the Canh Dan Lunar New Year in a cheerful, safe and thrifty atmosphere.
