(ĐN)- Director of the Dong Nai Health Department Tu Thanh Chuong said that the province has 4.8 doctors per 10,000 residents with total number of doctors of 1,191, of whom, 981 worked for state-owned hospitals, 162 worked at private hospitals and clinics and 42 at the companies.

Chuong also said that the province strives to have 5 doctors per 10000 residents by 2010.
Dong Nai is in need of another almost 1,000 doctors for its healthcare system to meet basic requirements.
