(ĐN)- In the first nine months of this year, Dong Nai’s telecom sector earned a revenue of nearly VND1.5 trillion, up almost 8 percent over the same period last year. Dong Nai’s mobile phone subscribers of VNPT in the nine months increased by nearly 340,000, a nearly 15 per cent increase from the previous year. In addition, ADSL subscribers of VNPT reached 23,000 during the same period, up 57 per cent increase year on year. However, the province saw a 25 per cent decline in number of fixed phone users.
By the end of September this year, Dong Nai’s teledensity reached 83 phones per 100 residents, far exceeding the target set for 2010.
