(ĐN)- A solemn ceremony to honor outstanding journalists was held on June 23 at Tran Bien Temple of Literature on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi, and representatives of local media agencies.
On this occasion, Dong Nai Journalist’s Association held a ceremony to mark Journalists’ Day, award and honor the winners at 2008 National Press Prize, including one in grade A and three in grade C, and 2009 Golden Pen Award.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai Journalist Association Mai Song Be affirmed that local press agencies and journalists will continue to bring into play the role of the press in launching and stimulating patriotic movements, encouraging renewal achievements and actively fighting against corruption and social evils, contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization as well as promotion of the local economic development.
