Dong Nai reviews plans for water supply and rural environmental hygiene

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh has recently chaired a meeting with representatives of local agencies to review master plans for water supply and rural environmental hygiene for period 2006-2010 and the 2020 vision plan.

Up to now, the programme on clean water and rural environmental hygiene has helped to provide clean water to over 80% of the rural population in the province, hygienic toilets for 61% of rural households and hygienic animal husbandry facilities for more than 54% of rural families,

At the meeting, representatives of local agencies asked investors to draw up their plans as soon as possible for approval. They also stressed that the need for investors to give priority to implement clean water and rural environment projects in deep-lying and remote areas.
