(ĐN)- A summer blood donation campaign was launched in Dong Nai on May 22 by the provincial Red Cross Association.
Representative of Provincial Peoples Committee awards certificates of merit to individuals
In the recent years, the province’s blood donation campaigns attracted more and more blood donors. According to the report, the province collected 300 units of blood in 2003 and the figure increased to 10,611 units in 2008.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 48 collectives and 72 individuals who made significant contributions to humanitarian blood donation campaigns.
The provincial Red Cross Association pledged to raise VND1,5 billion to build 100 charity houses for poor families in districts, Long Khanh town and Bien Hoa city.
