Provincial leader receives Economic Officer of US Consulate General

(ĐN)- In the morning of March 4, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received and worked with Mr. Douglas Sonnek, Economic Officer of the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the working session, Vice Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai briefed Mr. Douglas Sonnek on the province’s socio-economic development situation in the past time and hoped that US investors will continue to invest in Dong Nai. He also stressed that Dong Nai is now seeking investment in high-tech, environmentally friendly projects to meet development demand in the next years.  

 

So far, Dong Nai’s IPs attracted more than 950 foreign-invested projects with a total capital of $14.6 billion. Of which, 33 projects worth around $320 million came from US investors.

 

Speaking at the session, Mr. Douglas Sonnek highly appreciated achievements Dong Nai has gained in the past years and pledged that he will try his best in the bridge role between US enterprises and the province.
