(ĐN)- A ceremony to launch the National Week of Labour Safety and Hygiene - Fire Prevention was held in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province on March 17.

At the launching ceremony, the provincial steering committee for labour hygiene and safety and fire-explosion prevention urged local agencies and trade union organisations at all levels to raise public awareness about labour hygienic and safety standards and boost coordination in monitoring the implementation of related regulations as well as take measures to avoid labour accidents and fires in the workplaces. After the the launching ceremony, the participants marched along the central street of Trang bom district and took part in a drill to fight a supposed fire at Salim furniture company in Bau Xeo Industrial Park.
On the same day, the provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police performed a fire-fighting drill at Nestlé Vietnam Ltd. in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park.
