(ĐN)- In the morning of December 19, Dong Nai province’s Elderly Association held a meeting to review its activities in 2008 and set tasks for 2009.
In 2008, the association admitted 3,075 new members, bring its total membership to 129,452, including 201 people over 100 years of age. It also mobilized more than VND1.5 billion to build and hand over 103 charity houses to poor members, contributed nearly VND1.1 billion to study encouragement funds.
In 2009, the association will focus on improving health care for elderly people, especially those live in rural and remote area, creating healthy and useful playground for the elderly people.
