(ĐN)- The Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province yesterday met with Catholic and Protestant priests and clergymen to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday.
Also present at the meeting were Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Huynh Thi Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee.
The provincial leaders praised the contributions made by Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers to the province’s socio-economic development.
Protestant and Catholic dignitaries expressed their thanks to the provincial authorities and the provincial Fatherland Front Committee for their help and support.
On the occasion, Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Lien presented bouquets to the Protestant and Catholic dignitaries who have made positive contributions to the patriotic emulation movement.
Earlier, Mrs. Bui Ngoc Thanh, standing deputy head of the Committee and Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee led a delegation to visit and present Christmas gifts to Catholic Priests in Thong Nhat district and Bien Hoa city. On the occasion, Mrs. Thanh and her entourage also visited and presented gifts to two Vietnamese heroic mothers who are living in Thong Nhat district and Bien Hoa city.
