(ĐN)- On November 9, the monks and nuns of Phuoc Son Temple received handmade robes sent from the Thai royal family, a rare and special honor for a temple in Phuoc Tan Village, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province . The royal family sends the robes to a handful of temples worldwide each year. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand selects temples based on community service, activity and efforts made to unify temple members.

Also present at the robe presentation ceremony were Constitution Court Judge, Mr. Chalermpon Akeuru, Consul General of Royal Thai in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Pravit Chaimongkol and Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department, Mrs. Bui Ngoc Thanh. This event is the first of its kind for Buddhist monks and nuns in Dong Nai province. This is also the fourth time for Vietnamese Buddhist monks and nuns to receive the royal honor.

This event aims to strengthen further links between Thai Buddhist and Vietnamese ones, contributing to enhance the relationship between two countries.
