(ĐN)- Now, according to an official record of Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, there are about 22 cattle feed production units in the province. Dong Nai is also the largest feed producing province and it produces nearly 3.8 million tonnes of cattle feed each year, accounting for over 70 per cent of the country’s total production capacity of animal feed. The province produced more than 2 million tonnes of cattle feed in the first eight months of this year. However, due to the insufficient domestic supply of raw materials , for example corn, soybean and fish powder, the country’s current supply level meets only 56 per cent of the requirement and the remaining of raw materials has to be imported from foreign countries, resulting in the increase in the price of cattle feed.
