Speeding up construction progress of Dong Nai biotechnology centre

(ĐN)- On September 5, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh had a working session with the provincial People’s Committee and related agencies to listen to the “Dong Nai bio-technology centre” project implementation progress report.

The centre will be built on an area of more than 200 ha in Cam My district with a total capital of over VND530 billion. The project’s first phase is scheduled to complete in 2010 and the whole project, in 2020.   

 

When put into operation, the centre will attract around 10,000 scientific officials and technical workers in various biotechnology fields. The centre has the function of applying research of scientific themes related to biotechnology serving agriculture, health and the environment. It is established aiming to support the development of technological science in Dong Nai  and neighbor provinces.

 

Speaking at the working session, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh stressed that this is an important project to support the development of technological science in Dong Nai particularly  and neighbor provinces generally. Therefore, it’s necessary to speed up the implementation progress of  bio-technology centre and ensure the project’s quality as well as efficiency.
