| The Lao delegation visits Dong Nai Centre for Disabled Children |
(ĐN)- Late last week, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Committee for Population, Family and Children Luu Thi Phuong received in Dong Nai a Lao delegation led by Mrs. Sengdeuane Lachanthaboun, Vice-Minister of Education.
The guests were briefed on the achievements Dong Nai had made in caring for children. The child malnutrition rate fell from 26.6% in 2001 to 18% in 2006. Besides, the province’s Sponsor Fund for Children mobilised over 3 billion annually to help children with extreme difficulties.
The Lao delegation has applauded the efforts of Dong Nai to care for children. They also said that this visit is a good opportunity to learn experience in the work of caring for children.
During the stay in Dong Nai, the delegation was scheduled to visit Dong Nai Centre for Disabled Children and Consultant Centre for Population, Family and Children.
