New Chinese envoy calls on provincial leader

(ĐN)- On the afternoon of March 27, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received new Chinese consul general Xu Ming Liang, who paid a courtesy call on the provincial leader after he had been installed as the highest-ranking Chinese diplomat in Ho Chi Minh city.

(ĐN)- On the afternoon of March 27, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received new Chinese consul general Xu Ming Liang, who paid a courtesy call on the provincial leader after he had been installed as the highest-ranking Chinese diplomat in Ho Chi Minh city.

Vice Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said that he warmly welcomed the goodwill visit to Dong Nai by the new Chinese consul general and he was pleased with such a visit. Thai believed that in this new position, Xu would further contribute to the development of ties between China and Vietnam in general and Jiangsu province and Dong Nai province in particular and take bilateral ties to a new high.

The new Chinese consul general said that he is very happy to see positive changes in Vietnam as well as witness the amazing development of Dong Nai province. He strongly believed that WTO accession will help further encourage the growth of Vietnam. Xu also added he willing to make efforts to further develop Vietnam-China relations and bring bilateral relations to a new height.
