(ĐN)- On March 13, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga presided over a meeting to discuss the implementation of Programme 134 which provides minority people with housing, land for housing and production, and safe water. Also present at the meeting was Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh.
According to the members of the Steering Committee of Programme, the province now has 810 households without land for housing, 8 clean water supplying systems are being constructed and expected to put into operation in the next months. Besides, 289 households have been donated money to drill wells. At the meeting, the members also discussed and decided to donate 20 million to build houses for poor ethnic minorities, raising a further VND10 million for each house.
Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Huynh Thi Nga asked the localities to quickly deploy plans to provide land for housing and clean water to poor ethnic minorities.
