Health Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien visits Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Vice Chairpersons of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga and Ao Van Thinh yesterday received Minister of Health Tran Thi Trung Chien in Dong Nai.

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister Tran Thi Trung Chien said that the local government should develop a strategy for the health sector to meet the demands of the province. The Minister asked the government to pay more attention to developing human resources, to encourage more investment in human resources for the province’s health sector in order to provide better health care to the labourers working in enterprises in the province’s concentrated industrial zones. Chien stressed the need to intensify activities to attract more foreign investment to the health sector in the province. She also asked the local government to create a strategy to develop Dong Nai’s pharmaceutical sector so as to enable the local pharmaceutical sector to become one of the spearhead economic sectors in the province. The minister requested the locality to issue concrete measures concerning the trading, slaughtering and consumption of poultry to prevent the return of bird flu.

During her stay in Dong Nai province, the Minister met the staff of Dong Nai General Hospital, visited and worked with foreign-invested pharmaceutical enterprises located in Bien Hoa 2 industrial zone.
