Dong Nai press needs to have a suitable development strategy in new period

(ĐN)- In the afternoon of February 27, Dinh The Huynh, Member of PCC, Editor-in-chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper and President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association had a meeting with Dong Nai Journalists’ Association and representatives of local press agencies at Dong Nai Newspaper’s meeting hall.

(ĐN)- In the afternoon of February 27, Dinh The Huynh, Member of PCC, Editor-in-chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper and President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association had a meeting with Dong Nai Journalists’ Association and representatives of local press agencies at Dong Nai Newspaper’s meeting hall. Also present at the meeting was Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Trung.

At the meeting, Chairman of Dong Nai Journalists’ Association Mai Song Be briefed the leaders of Vietnam Journalists’ Association with information on the activities of the Association and local press agencies in the past time. Accordingly, Dong Nai press has developed both in quantity and quality. Particularly, Dong Nai Newspaper made incessant efforts to improve its quality both in form and content; it now publishes three issues per week with a circirculation of about 10,000 copies. Dong Nai Radio and Television (ĐN-RTV) also overcame a lot of difficulties to improve the quality of broadcasting and increase its broadcasting time. Besides, the province has invested modern equipments and built infrastructure for the local press agencies so that they can well peform the propaganda work.   

 

Speaking at the meeting, President Dinh The Huynh highly appreciated the efforts made by Dong Nai Journalists’ Association and the press agencies in the past time. He expressed his hope that the cooperation and special solidarity between the Association and the local press agencies will continue to be strengthened, further contributing to the development of the local press. He said that the central and provincial leaders trust the province’s journalists as well as their press products. However, Dong Nai press should further focus on training personnel and developing human resources in order to better meet the needs of readers and viewers inside and outside the province.
