During his stay, General Secretary Nong Duc Manh visited and worked with the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), met with leaders and representatives of workers of Fujitsu company. He also visited and extended Tet wishes to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Hai and Hero of the People’s armed force Tran Cong An.
The Party leader had a working session with the provincial leaders during which he stressed the need for Dong Nai to further speed up the development of service industry to match the potentials and social-economic development requirements of the province. Mr. Manh also asked the province to focus on developing infrastructure, creating more jobs for local people, improving the living conditions of the people in deep-lying areas, remote areas, and mountainous areas. General Secretary Manh also said he was delighted to know that three industrial zones have been set up in three remote mountain districts of the province such as Tan Phu, Dinh Quan and Xuan Loc as well as to see many new facilities have been built in these zones and come into operation.
Speaking at a working session with key officials of the province yesterday afternoon, the general secretary emphasized that Dong Nai must focus on human resource training because the province is seriously lacking skilled labourers. Mr. Manh also asked local authorities to pay more attention to improving the living conditions, particularly housing, for workers as well as to actively develop measures and mobilise the public to take part in environmental protection. He stressed that the local government should pay special attention to improving the living standards, especially housing for people moving from the construction site of industrial zones.
