universities and colleges, chaired by Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan recently took place in Dong Nai province. Leading figures from 45 non-public universities and colleges nationwide attended the conference.Conference participants said that non-public schools are now still facing many difficulties because there are no comprehensive regulations and laws in place and they suffer from persistent shortages of financing and legal infrastructure is too hazy and inadequate to manage these schools and their human resources also suffer in quality and quantity.
Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said that this conference plays a significant role, helping to spotlight the changes that need to be done to rectify the management and organization of training in non-public universities and colleges. Nhan also pointed out weaknesses and shortcomings that retarded the development of non-public schools. He said that based on the opinions raised, the Ministry of Education and Training will co-operate with relevant agencies to devise solutions to resolving matters of non-public schools.
