
(ĐN)- According to the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), the province targets to attract US$900 million worth of investment projects in 2007, of which it hopes that US$850 million will come from Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
(ĐN)- According to the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), the province targets to attract US$900 million worth of investment projects in 2007, of which it hopes that US$850 million will come from Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). In which, new projects will contribute 50 per cent of this figure while the rest will be increased capital of existing projects.
Mr. Vo Thanh Lap, Acting Director of DIZA said that the province authorities are seeking approval from the Government to establish four new IZs in the province’s communes of Xa Lo 25, Gia Kiem, Cam My and Phuoc Binh. He added that DIZA is working out plans to develop new IZs in the province like Long Duc and Ong Keo as well as to expand IZs like Song May and Dinh Quan.
Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot remarked at a meeting with DIZA that the province should accelerate administrative reform, creating a transparent and friendly investment environment to attract domestic and international investment. The chairman pointed out the need for the province to make high priority to attract high-tech projects and support industries as well as to have a well-trained workforce to work for such projects. He also said that the province needs to focus on building of dwelling houses for workers and infrastructure works out of the fences of industrial zones and these things, thus, make foreign investors confident that they can do business in Dong Nai.
