Huge efforts need to be exerted to help famers cope with challenges posed by the accession

(ĐN)- “The Provincial Farmers’ Association should strengthen its activities in 2007 and create close links between the State, scientists, businesses and farmers in order to help farmers cope with challenges brought about by WTO entry. It is necessary to turn out good-quality products and the world is interested in clean agricultural products, thus, the Association should help farmers gain access to advanced technologies and new models of farming methods”, said Huynh Van Toi, Head of the province Party Committee’s Propaganda and Training Department at a meeting to review the association’s activities in 2006 held on the morning of January 25.

At the meeting, the Association sets two key tasks for 2007: To strengthen its organization; To launch emulation movements of improved production and poverty and hunger reduction and building a cultural lifestyle among farmers. The meeting also reviewed the implementation of ideological and cultural work at all levels over the past seven years and discussed orientations towards 2010.
