(ĐN)- Mr. Le Tien Thanh, Vice-Director, Primary Education Department from the Ministry of Education and Training recently led a working delegation to Dong Nai to inspect the implementation of the province’s universal primary education task.
Dong Nai was recognized as having reached the national standard of universal primary education with 99.67% of six-year-old children going to school, and 88.6% of 11-year-old children finishing primary education. By December 2006, 97.1% of wards and communes were recognized as having achieved the national standard of universal primary education and 98.86% of the province’s primary school teachers are qualified.
The Vice – Director Le Thanh Hai also reminded that the remaining of the province’s communes which have not yet reached the standards should increase their efforts to accomplish standards of primary education universalization for children of the right schooling age not later than December 2008.
