(ĐN)- In the morning of July 7, Dong Nai Department of Labor War Invalids and Social Affairs held the 2nd meeting with its purpose of evaluating local employment and social affairs for the period 2000 – 2004. Vice Chairman of the Provincial Peoples’ Committee Huynh Van Toi attended the meeting.
During the past five years, emulation campaign entitled “For workers, social policy beneficiaries and social beneficiaries” encouraged the Provincial Department of Labor War Invalids And Social Affairs trying its best to overcome the difficulties and complete full assigned missions. As a result, more jobs were created for over 360,000 labors. Besides, about 200,000 people participated in vocational training centers under the sponsorship of the department. At the same time, the department also paid more attention to social welfare policies and looked after social beneficiaries. The department played important role in promoting health care programs, eradicating poverty, addressing unemployment, preventing and fighting social evils and so on. It contributed efforts for local social development. With achivements made by Dong Nai Department of Labor War Invalids and Social Affairs, it was awarded the 2nd and 3rd grade Labor Medals. In addition, many individuals and units were awarded Certificates of Merit by Prime Minister and Ministry of Labor War Invalids and Social Affairs.
On this occasion, 23 units and 40 individuals were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Peoples’ Committee.
