At its third session, the 11th-tenure Dong Nai City People’s Council approved the investment policy for an elevated road project along National Highway 51, stretching from Vung Tau Intersection to the interchange between Vo Nguyen Giap Street and the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway. The project is estimated to carry a total investment of more than VND 16 trillion.

Once implemented, Vung Tau Intersection will be developed into a modern multi-level interchange to ease persistent traffic congestion in the area.

Beyond easing congestion, the interchange is also expected to serve as an architectural highlight, creating a distinctive gateway for Tran Bien ward, the central urban area of Dong Nai City.

The project will include the construction of an interchange with Huong Lo 2 in Long Hung ward.

This junction will enhance connectivity between National Highway 51, the elevated route, and Huong Lo 2, whose first-phase section has already been completed.

Gate 11 is one of the most congested traffic hotspots in the area. Accordingly, the new interchange is expected to reduce congestion and improve circulation at this critical node significantly.

Spanning approximately 6.2 kilometers, the elevated road will terminate at the interchange linking the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway with Vo Nguyen Giap Street, forming a key corridor to enhance regional connectivity and urban mobility.
