Venerable Thich Dat Ma Toan Hanh, Deputy Head of the Executive Board of Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha:

Hopes for a prosperous and harmonious land

In my role as Deputy Head of the Executive Board of Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha, I hope that as Dong Nai enters a new stage of development, its cultural, ethical, spiritual and legitimate religious values will continue to be respected, preserved and promoted so that religious and secular life may always exist in harmony in the spirit of serving the nation and bringing peace to the people.

When Dong Nai becomes a city, what is most meaningful is not merely the change in administrative title, but more profoundly, the opening of new opportunities for the development of this land. I hope that infrastructure will become increasingly synchronized and urban life more civilized. Above all, every achievement in development should ultimately serve the practical interests of the people. I truly hope that as Dong Nai City grows, the lives of its people will become more prosperous and convenient, while the locality contributes even more to regional and national development.

Pham Thi Ngoc Ha, Chairwoman of the Provincial Gymnastics Federation:

Balancing economic growth with preservation of cultural values

The National Assembly has officially passed the resolution establishing Dong Nai City, which takes effect on April 30, 2026. This is a historic milestone, marking an important turning point in Dong Nai’s development journey. It is also a source of joy, pride and anticipation for many residents as the locality embraces a powerful opportunity to rise further.

I personally hope Dong Nai will grow into a dynamic and modern city, one that is truly worth living in. A truly modern and livable city is measured not only by major projects or growth figures, but also by the quality of life it offers its people.

Therefore, alongside measures to accelerate economic development, Dong Nai should pursue a green, clean, beautiful and civilized path, becoming a modern urban center while still preserving its distinct identity through a harmonious combination of economic progress and the protection of cultural and historical values, as well as improving the spiritual life of residents. Every citizen who lives and works in the city should strengthen community awareness, live responsibly and join hands in building a better environment.

Nguyen Van Trung, Party member of Long Binh ward:

Sharing joy and pride

The moment Dong Nai was officially recognized as a city was deeply emotional for many of us. Amid the atmosphere of excitement, the joy has not remained a passing feeling, but has grown into pride and expectation for a new chapter of development.

For many Party members and residents, this is a special milestone after a long journey of effort and maturity for the locality. Each person carries their own emotions in witnessing this historic moment. This is a source of pride for the entire Party organization and the people of Dong Nai, something we have long awaited.

I hope that the Party and the State will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions so that Dong Nai City can continue to innovate, develop firmly and sustainably in the future.

Mai Thi Hang, specialist at Tam Hiep ward Public Administrative Service Center:

An important historic milestone

The establishment of Dong Nai City is an event of major historical significance for local residents. As a public servant, I also feel honored and proud to contribute to the development and transformation of Dong Nai.

Alongside this shared joy, we also hope future policies will become more practical and effective. This will not only create favorable conditions for residents to improve their quality of life, but also support officials and civil servants in fulfilling their duties, thereby contributing to the building of a dynamic, modern and sustainable Dong Nai City.

Veteran Ha Quy Phu, Tam Hiep ward:

Investing comprehensively in transport infrastructure

From the time the policy to establish Dong Nai City was introduced until the National Assembly passed the resolution, I have closely followed related developments. In recent days, through the media, I learned that localities across the province are preparing for the official announcement ceremony, and like many residents, I am deeply pleased.

Dong Nai’s city status will create fresh opportunities for growth and help improve people’s lives.

To live up to its new role, Dong Nai must invest in well-connected transport infrastructure. A modern transportation system will make connections between the urban center and neighboring areas more convenient, reduce travel time and ease congestion.

In addition, transport infrastructure linked to major projects will help attract investment, stimulate production and business activities, enhance local competitiveness and drive economic growth, thereby steadily improving the lives of residents.

Sister Bui Thi Hong Hanh, Deputy Chief of Office of Dong Nai Committee for Solidarity of Catholics:

A shared joy for every citizen

Through information from the press, I learned that the National Assembly has passed the resolution establishing Dong Nai City, effective on April 30, 2026, coinciding with the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

This is wonderful news, and I believe it is a shared joy for every citizen of Dong Nai. I hope that future Dong Nai City will make strong progress in its path of construction and development, not only for the locality itself but also for the prosperity of the nation.

Ung Ngoc Thuy Tien, specialist at Long Thanh commune Fatherland Front Committee:

Joy as our homeland rises into an urban center

Among the 10 communes in Dong Nai being upgraded to wards is Long Thanh commune, and with Dong Nai soon becoming a city, I am proud to see my hometown steadily transform into a modern urban center.

I expect that Dong Nai’s transition to city status will create momentum for comprehensive development, improve people’s livelihoods and enhance the effectiveness of state governance.

Furthermore, infrastructure systems,  especially transport infrastructure, will receive synchronized investment, thereby promoting local socio-economic development.
