Architectural design competition launched for Dong Nai Political-Administrative Center

The Dong Nai City Department of Construction (DoC) has announced an architectural design competition for the Dong Nai City Political-Administrative Center (DNPAC).

The competition aims to seek and select the most suitable architectural design for the city's new political-administrative center while ensuring the effective utilization of the potential and advantages of the Bien Hoa 1 urban-commercial-service area. The project is also expected to integrate harmoniously with the surrounding architectural landscape and riverside environment.

The future complex is envisioned as a modern, centralized and professional administrative hub equipped with synchronized technical infrastructure designed to meet the requirements of digital transformation and Industry 4.0. Once completed, it is expected to enhance governance efficiency, support socio-economic development and improve public services.

According to the plan, the competition is open to domestic and international design consulting firms that meet professional qualifications and requirements under current regulations. The Dong Nai municipal People's Committee is the authority deciding to organize the competition, while the DoC is responsible for its implementation.

The competition site is located in Tran Bien ward, within a political-administrative urban area covering approximately 102.5 hectares. The site is bordered by urban-commercial-service areas to the North and South, Hanoi Highway (National Highway 1A) to the East and Southeast, and Tran Quoc Toan Street together with the Cai River to the West and Southwest.

Applications for the competition will be accepted until 5 p.m. on July 19, 2026, at the DoC, located at 38 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Tran Bien ward.

The future DNPAC will be served by the Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien metro line.

The competition represents an important step toward selecting a high-quality architectural design capable of creating a distinctive architectural highlight for the city's new administrative center. The project is expected to contribute to the development of a modern, civilized and sustainable urban landscape as Dong Nai enters a new stage of growth.

Under the city's development plan, the new DNPAC will be built on land formerly occupied by Bien Hoa 1 IP, which has been converted to new urban functions. The location offers significant advantages, being situated near the Dong Nai River, National Highway 1 and Vung Tau Intersection.

In the future, the area is expected to be served by an extended Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien metro line connecting the DNPAC with Long Thanh International Airport.
