Dong Nai needs over 173,000 workers in 2026

According to information released by the Department of Home Affairs on June 19, businesses across Dong Nai City are expected to recruit more than 173,000 workers in 2026. Of this total, over 132,000 positions are for unskilled workers, accounting for 76.5% of overall labor demand.

Industries with the highest recruitment needs include garment and textile manufacturing, footwear production, wood processing, handicrafts, plastics, services, electrical engineering, and electronics.

In addition, the Long Thanh International Airport Project is expected to recruit nearly 14,000 workers, including 4,000–6,000 employees during Phase 1. Recruitment positions include drivers, toll collection staff, waste collection fee operators, aircraft stand supervisors, inspection personnel, and other operational roles. Meanwhile, the Aqua City Project is projected to require nearly 15,000 workers, ranging from unskilled laborers to university graduates.

To achieve Dong Nai City’s goal of having 2.6 million employed workers in the economy by 2030, the Department of Home Affairs aims to create, supply, and facilitate employment opportunities for 40,000–42,000 workers annually, meeting labor demands from businesses within the city and partner localities. During the 2026–2030 period, the city plans to provide employment support to approximately 160,000–168,000 workers.
