According to Vice Chairman Ho Van Ha, Dong Nai is currently standing at a “golden opportunity” for breakthrough development as a series of key transport infrastructure projects are being implemented simultaneously across the city. Among the highlights are Long Thanh International Airport, which is expected to become operational in 2026, the Phuoc An Port system and interregional expressway networks. These projects are expected to serve as a strong driver for investment inflows, with the goal of turning Dong Nai into a logistics, industrial and international trade hub of Southeast Asia.

However, the rapid pace of urbanization and the strong expansion of industrial zones are placing increasing pressure on the existing road transport system. To fundamentally address this issue and support sustainable urban planning, the development of high-capacity public transport infrastructure has become a top priority.

In particular, the project to extend Metro Line No.1 from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai and Long Thanh International Airport has been identified as a strategic project and a crucial link in regional connectivity planning aimed at easing traffic congestion on existing road networks.

In addition, Dong Nai is planning several other urban railway lines, including Bien Hoa – Vung Tau, Bien Hoa – Trang Bom and Bien Hoa – Long Thanh routes. According to city leaders, investing in urban railway systems is a strategic priority for Dong Nai’s future development.

Dong Nai highly appreciates China’s capabilities, technology and achievements in mastering the design, construction and operation of one of the world’s largest metro networks, Ho Van Ha noted.

He also called on city departments and agencies to actively strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Sharpland Group in an open, responsible, practical and effective spirit in order to create future investment opportunities.
