On November 5, a delegation led by Nguyen Thi Cat Tien, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee, conducted field surveys of the typical models in new-style rural development in Phu Vinh, Dinh Quan, Thong Nhat, Xuan Bac, Xuan Dinh and Cam My communes.

The visits aim to assess the progress and results of new-style rural development in these communes, providing a basis for reviewing and determining whether they meet the new-style rural commune standards in 2026 under the criteria framework for the 2026–2030 period. To date, the six communes have basically achieved their new-style rural development goals. The criteria for the 2026–2030 period set higher requirements than those of the previous period, particularly in digital infrastructure investment, renewable energy, environmental standards and income levels.

Rural infrastructure, especially the road network, has been developed in a relatively integrated manner across these communes. Criteria covering education, healthcare, culture and the environment have all been met or exceeded. Rural areas have taken on a more vibrant look, while models such as exemplary roads and model residential communities featuring bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe environments, as well as sustainable production models, have continued to expand. Environmental landscaping and maintenance have also received regular attention.

The localities have leveraged their own advantages to generate development momentum and achieve impressive results in large-scale, safe commercial production. They have developed concentrated production zones linked to export markets and established effectively operating cooperatives. They have also met targets for the proportion of farming households recognized for outstanding production and business performance, as well as targets for private-sector economic development associated with job creation and income generation for local workers.

Nguyen Thi Cat Tien, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee, commended the communes for their achievements in new-style rural development in 2026. She highlighted the effective and innovative approaches adopted by several localities in implementing environmental improvement models and developing and expanding well-lit, green, clean and beautiful roads and model residential communities.

Tien also praised the communes for attracting businesses to invest in agricultural processing and exports to demanding international markets, thereby creating jobs, contributing to local economic development and actively supporting the new-style rural development program.
