According to the centre, the campaign seeks to highlight Dong Nai’s distinctive identity and promote the city as an attractive destination for nature and cultural experiences in southeastern Viet Nam. It is also expected to strengthen the city’s tourism brand and attract more visitors.

Branding Dong Nai’s agricultural products

Since September 2026, cashews, one of Dong Nai’s signature specialities, have been served to passengers on Vietnam Airlines flights. Dong Nai is also Viet Nam’s leading cashew-growing and exporting hub, and the industry makes a significant contribution to the country’s agricultural export earnings.

Nguyen Hoang Dat, Director of Vinahe Co., Ltd. (Phuoc Binh Ward), said the company was proud that its cashews had been selected to showcase Dong Nai’s local specialities on Vietnam Airlines flights. He said the opportunity would help Vinahe introduce its products to a wider audience of domestic and international travellers.

To strengthen and promote the Dong Nai cashew brand, Vinahe carefully selects its raw cashews before processing, roasting them to preserve their natural flavour and packaging them at the company’s facility. Each product reflects the work of local farmers, workers and producers while helping showcase the quality of Vietnamese cashews to consumers at home and abroad. Besides cashews, Dong Nai produces a wide range of high-value crops, including pomelos, jackfruit, mangoes and bananas. Specialised vegetable-growing areas across the city also supply raw materials for the agricultural processing industry.

Thuan Huong Production Trading Co., Ltd., based in Thong Nhat Commune, supplies processed fruits and vegetables to domestic and international markets. The company has also been producing packaged dried fruit and vegetable snacks for an airline to serve passengers on domestic and international flights.

Thuan Huong currently offers a wide range of naturally dried agricultural products, including jackfruit, bananas, sweet potatoes, taro, lotus seeds, okra, carrots, yardlong beans, bitter melon and mangoes.

Partnering with businesses to promote local products

The Dong Nai City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre has worked with businesses through various programmes to showcase their products at domestic and international events.

To promote Dong Nai on Vietnam Airlines flights, the centre has signed an agreement with the national flag carrier to display promotional content on all individual and shared screens aboard regularly scheduled flights operated by Vietnam Airlines. Under the agreement, Vietnam Airlines will broadcast content introducing and promoting tourism in Dong Nai on its flights.

Tran Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Director in charge of the centre, said it was helping businesses bring their agricultural products on board Vietnam Airlines flights while producing short promotional videos for the carrier’s in-flight entertainment system. The videos showcase Dong Nai’s tourism brand, cultural and social life, tourist attractions and traditional craft villages.

Trang said the centre began promoting Dong Nai cashews in September 2026 under Vietnam Airlines’ “Vietnamese Flavour Map” programme. She hopes the cashews will offer passengers more than a local delicacy, introducing them to Dong Nai’s agricultural heritage, its farmers and the distinctive qualities of its local produce.

“By serving local specialities and screening promotional videos on Vietnam Airlines flights, I hope to raise Dong Nai’s profile as a tourist destination,” Trang said.

Trang said the centre was developing further programmes to showcase Dong Nai’s natural attractions and local specialities on flights. The initiative is expected to help strengthen the city’s tourism brand in the coming years. The centre sees Long Thanh International Airport’s future commercial operations as an opportunity to attract more international visitors and further raise Dong Nai’s profile as a tourism destination.
