Three groups of businesses eligible for one-year rent exemption on public property

The City People's Committee has issued a decision on a policy to support the leasing of public property, including houses and land, in the city.

Under the decision, from October 10, 2026, three groups of businesses will be eligible for support: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting-industry enterprises, and innovative enterprises that meet the prescribed criteria. The properties available for lease include houses and land not used for residential purposes that are unused or otherwise not in use and are assigned to a local housing management and business organization for management and leasing.

Eligible businesses will be exempt from rent for the first year from the effective date of their lease contracts. Each business may benefit from the policy only once in the city.

To qualify for the rent exemption, businesses must submit copies of documents and records proving their eligibility and are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of the information and documents provided.
