Dong Nai City is entering a new phase of development, aspiring to become a dynamic and important growth pole of the Southeastern region and the country as a whole. This ambition is reflected in the city's continued efforts to improve the investment environment, remove bottlenecks in administrative procedures, infrastructure and land access, and introduce policies to better support businesses throughout their investment and operations.
Dong Nai is becoming increasingly attractive to investors thanks to its strategic location, multimodal transport connectivity and vast space for industrial development. Equally important is the commitment of the city's authorities to supporting investors throughout the entire process, from their initial inquiries and project preparations to project completion and the start of operations.
Building an attractive investment environment
Under its development orientation through 2035, with a vision to 2065, Dong Nai is set to become a new trade gateway to the southern region, creating opportunities for businesses to expand their investments and make the city a strategic destination in the coming years.
In particular, the expected launch of Long Thanh International Airport by the end of 2026, together with the system of expressways, ring roads, railways, seaports and logistics networks being rapidly developed, will open up new space for Dong Nai's growth.

In addition, with a view to ensuring stable living conditions for workers coming to Dong Nai for employment, the city broke ground on June 12 on the Long Binh Rental Housing Project, which comprises 1,000 apartments. It is the city's first social housing project for rent and the first project of its kind in the country to be launched following directions issued by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam in Notice No. 64-TB/VPTW dated May 22, 2026, on the implementation of Directive No. 34-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat on rental housing development and housing development orientations for the coming period.
Meanwhile, Dong Nai is drawing up a master plan with a 100-year vision while accelerating the formulation of zoning plans and plans for functional areas. The city is also stepping up the implementation of urban development projects, infrastructure projects in industrial parks and concentrated digital technology zones, as well as strategic infrastructure projects in line with approved plans.

Dong Nai is at a historic turning point following the Politburo's adoption of Resolution No. 16-NQ/TW on the construction and development of Dong Nai City to 2035, with a vision to 2065. The resolution identifies the construction and development of Dong Nai as a task for the entire political system, with science and technology, innovation and digital transformation serving as key drivers of growth. It also calls for Dong Nai to pursue an airport-city development model, with Long Thanh International Airport serving as its nucleus. The resolution opens a new chapter in the city's development, positioning the city as an important national growth pole.
Commitment to supporting investors
Dong Nai is pursuing a selective approach to investment attraction, prioritizing high-tech projects with high added value and strong environmental credentials. The city is also prioritizing the development of next-generation industries, logistics, modern urban areas, trade and services, and tourism. Building on an open policy framework, increasingly integrated infrastructure and a strong commitment to supporting businesses, Dong Nai is attracting growing interest from major domestic and international companies and corporations.

Kume Kinihide, Chairman of the JBA, said Japanese businesses in Dong Nai had maintained and expanded their operations in recent years. Many companies had increased their production capital, expanded investment and upgraded their equipment to meet market demand. This demonstrates the stability of Dong Nai's business environment for companies already operating or investing in the city. At the same time, the city continues to attract interest from other Japanese businesses thanks to its strategic location and well-connected transport infrastructure.
Affirming the city's determination to raise Dong Nai's profile and attract investment, Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Kim Long said the Politburo had agreed in principle to grant Dong Nai special mechanisms and policies. The city is now working to develop these mechanisms and policies to provide fresh impetus for Dong Nai's development, including the creation of areas capable of making major breakthroughs of national significance.
The city leaders are committed to addressing issues and administrative procedures facing businesses, creating the most favorable conditions for them and standing alongside them throughout their operations.

Dong Nai has now been identified as an important national growth pole. This presents an opportunity for investors to establish a presence in the city at an early stage and gain an advantage, particularly in the sectors that Dong Nai has prioritized for investment attraction.
