Test pile construction begins for elevated road section through Ma Da Forest

The Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board has reported that construction of test piles has begun under Component Project 1 of the project to build a connecting road from Ma Da Bridge to Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4.

At the same time, relevant units are preparing the construction design following the project's approval.

Component Project 1 – Construction of the Road from Ma Da Bridge to Ba Hao Intersection forms part of the project to connect Ma Da Bridge to Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4. The project is being implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, with Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Corporation serving as the investor. Component Project 1, which involves the construction of the road from Ma Da Bridge to Ba Hao Intersection, has a total length of approximately 13 km and a total investment of about 17 trillion VND. The road is designed as an elevated route with a viaduct structure and eight lanes. Construction began in late June 2026 and is expected to be completed within 18 months.

Component Project 1, involving the construction of the road from Ma Da Bridge to Ba Hao Intersection, is the first project in Vietnam to apply balanced cantilever segmental casting design and construction technology. The approach minimizes material consumption and carbon emissions, meets green building standards, and limits impacts on the ecosystem of the Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve to the greatest extent possible. Only bored piles and pile caps are constructed on-site. Meanwhile, all pier bodies and girder segments are manufactured on industrial production lines at a factory to ensure quality, consistency, and aesthetic appeal at a reasonable cost.
