Two packages of Cai Riverside Road project reach nearly 90% of contract value

Two of the four construction packages under the Cai Riverside Road Project, which runs from Ha Huy Giap Street to Tran Quoc Toan Street, have reached nearly 90 percent of their contract value, according to the Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Specifically, Construction Package No. 10, covering five bridges and their approach roads along the route: Ba Bot, Chim Tau, Rach Gio, Suoi Linh and Tan Mai, has completed construction worth nearly VND140 billion, equivalent to about 87 percent of the contract value.

Meanwhile, Construction Package No. 20, which involves the relocation of high-, medium- and low-voltage power lines, transformer stations and the project's street lighting system, has completed construction worth more than VND14 billion, equivalent to about 88 percent of the contract value.

Progress on the remaining two packages is still at an earlier stage. Construction Package No. 27, covering the road section from Km2+693.00 to Km4+602.31, the railway crossing, as well as equipment installation and traffic safety works along the Km0+000-Km0+200 section, has reached a completed work volume of nearly VND19 billion, representing around 12 percent of the contract value.

Meanwhile, Construction Package No. 28, covering the section from Km0+200 to Km2+557, together with street lighting and traffic signal systems, has completed more than VND21 billion worth of work volume, equivalent to approximately 13 percent of the contract value.

In the coming time, the contractor for Package No. 10 will continue completing retaining walls for the remaining bridge sections and the approach road to Rach Gio Bridge. Work will also include completing girder erection, superstructure works, bridge deck construction and approach roads for Ba Bot Bridge; completing retaining walls and approach roads to Chim Tau Bridge; constructing the bridge deck and approach roads to Tan Mai Bridge; and finishing pavement works and traffic safety facilities at Suoi Linh Bridge.

For Package No. 27, work will continue on the fabrication of precast components and soft-ground treatment using timber piles. Under Package No. 28, contractors will carry out timber piling for soft-ground improvement, sand filling for site formation and final grading, crushed stone paving and sidewalk construction along the Km1+610–Km2+557 section. Additional works include fabricating precast components, installing manholes and drainage culverts, constructing retaining walls, completing utility ducts, and installing conduits and foundations for street lighting poles.

The Cai Riverside Road Project stretches nearly 4.6 kilometers with a total investment of almost VND574 billion. It includes the construction of a 32-meter-wide road, five bridges along the route, together with supporting technical infrastructure, landscaping and traffic safety facilities.
