Dong Nai consults experts on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation

The Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of Dong Nai City held a conference on July 17 to consult its Advisory Council of Experts on the city's strategy for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation through 2030, while also reviewing the Steering Committee's performance during the first half of 2026.

The event was attended by Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee (CPC) and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai City Huynh Thi Hang, and Member of the CPC’s Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Le Truong Son.

The conference also brought together members of the CPC’s Standing Board, members of the City Party Executive Committee, leaders of departments, agencies and local authorities, as well as scientists and experts serving on the city's Advisory Council for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation. Representatives of leading digital technology corporations and enterprises from Dong Nai and other localities also attended.

At the conference, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology (DoST) presented a summary report on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW during the first six months of 2026, along with key tasks and solutions for the remainder of the year. Relevant agencies also presented an overview of Dong Nai's Digital Architecture Framework and a draft proposal for the city's smart urban development.

During the discussion session, experts, scientists and representatives of major technology corporations and digital enterprises shared recommendations and proposed practical solutions to drive breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation across Dong Nai.

Concluding the conference, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh commended the constructive recommendations presented by members of the Advisory Council, scientists and representatives of major corporations and enterprises. She expressed hope that experts would continue providing in-depth consultation to help Dong Nai refine its strategic direction and implement effective solutions for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

Hanh called on the City People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies to organize workshops and specific activities to identify Dong Nai's priority sectors, core technologies and strategic technologies, ensuring that future development of science, technology,  innovation and digital transformation aligns with the city's potential, comparative advantages and long-term development needs.

She also called on the City People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies to develop more effective mechanisms and regulations for strengthening the "triple-helix" partnership model among government, universities/research institutes and businesses. She emphasized the need to attract leading experts and strategic investors, improve the quality of human resources, encourage enterprises to help build a stronger innovation ecosystem, and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies to support Dong Nai's sustainable development.
