Major promotions rolled out

Many retail outlets in Dong Nai are introducing large-scale summer promotions featuring attractive discounts on Vietnamese products and regional specialties.

According to Vu Thanh Tan, Communications Representative of Central Retail Vietnam, operator of the GO! supermarket chain, GO! stores nationwide, including GO! Dong Nai and GO! Tan Hiep has launched a major anniversary campaign under the theme "28 Years – Great Value for Every Budget." The campaign features discounts of up to 40% on thousands of products, hourly flash-sale events and an interactive promotion titled "Celebrate Our Birthday – Win Great Prizes," offering a total prize pool worth more than VND6 billion (approximately USD230,000). Throughout the campaign, GO! supermarkets are offering substantial discounts on a wide range of products, including food, personal care items and household goods.

Furthermore, the fresh food section is hosting two additional large-scale agricultural produce festivals designed to offer quality meals at affordable prices. As part of the festivals, GO! has set up a dedicated area showcasing regional specialties that meet VietGAP standards, with stable prices and special offers on products such as waxy avocados, Taiwanese-variety VietGAP mangoes, Vietnamese pears, round pumpkins, and Da Lat Chinese cabbage. VietGAP pork thighs, frozen pork knuckles, VietGAP pork chops, chilled pork shoulder ribs, as well as a range of processed foods, aquatic products, and seafood, are also being offered at discounted prices during the festivals.

Meanwhile, Do Doan Thanh, Marketing Manager of Co.opmart Dong Xoai in Binh Phuoc Ward, said the supermarket is participating in the promotion through the “Vietnam Festival – 34 Colors of Pride” campaign, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Co.opmart supermarket chain and the 37th anniversary of Saigon Co.op. Held for the first time in July, the campaign includes a variety of promotional activities, such as guaranteed-win scratch cards, lucky draws, purchase-based gift redemption, bonus loyalty points and four interactive experience stations designed to engage customers throughout the festival.

Notably, Co.opmart Dong Xoai is also organizing livestreams to introduce promotional programs, dedicated exhibition areas for OCOP (One Commune One Product) goods and interactive activities including quizzes, ring toss games and clay art workshops.

Promoting Vietnamese products

The First Vietnam Grand Sale 2026 combines traditional retail promotions with e-commerce initiatives to broaden consumer outreach and encourage participation by manufacturers, retailers and service providers. The campaign aims to stimulate domestic consumption, support business activity and contribute to national economic growth while increasing public awareness of Vietnamese goods and services through nationwide media promotion.

Building on the success of previous editions, this year's program is expected to further boost retail sales and consumer service revenues, strengthen the domestic market and support Vietnam's economic growth in 2026.

The Dong Nai City Department of Industry and Trade has called on businesses, shopping malls and supermarkets across the city to proactively organize promotional activities in support of the national campaign and local consumer stimulus efforts.

Le Duc Thuan, Director of Lotte Mart Dong Nai in Long Binh Ward, said the supermarket regularly updates its promotional programs to encourage consumer spending. Current offers cover food, agricultural products, household goods and fashion items, including a broad selection of Vietnamese-made products.

Ngoc Han, a resident of Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai City, said she has noticed a growing number of promotional campaigns across supermarkets, shopping malls and e-commerce platforms during the summer. "Many of these promotions focus on Vietnamese products and local specialties," she said. "They help promote domestic brands, connect local producers with consumers and bring Vietnamese products closer to shoppers."
