According to the Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board (the project investor), the DT.769 Road Upgrade and Expansion Project spans a total length of 29.75 kilometers, with a total investment for construction of nearly 2.8 trillion VND. This vital route connects the Dau Giay Intersection to National Highway 51. The road will be upgraded and widened to 6–8 lanes. Passing through three wards and communes—Dau Giay, Binh An, and Long Thanh—the DT.769 is a vital transport artery facilitating the movement of goods from the Northern provinces and the Central Highlands to the Long Thanh and Nhon Trach areas, and vice versa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ho Van Ha, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City People's Committee, emphasized that this is a critical project aimed at realizing the goal of transforming Dong Nai into a new growth pole for the Southeast region, as well as a national hub for industry, logistics, and aviation services.

Notably, on July 10, alongside the groundbreaking of the DT.769 project, Dong Nai City also simultaneously broke ground on two other key traffic projects: the construction of the DT.770B road and the upgrading and expansion of the DT.773 road. The synchronous investment in these routes is a strategic solution to form a western gateway traffic axis of the Long Thanh International Airport, directly connecting with National Highway 1, National Highway 51, expressways, and the regional transport network. Once completed, these roads will help alleviate traffic congestion on existing routes and facilitate the transport of passengers and goods from surrounding areas to Long Thanh Airport.

To ensure the project is completed on schedule, meets quality standards, and achieves maximum efficiency, the City People's Committee leader requested departments, boards, and sectors to uphold their sense of responsibility, cooperate closely, and swiftly process administrative procedures under their jurisdiction. They are urged to support the developer and contractors throughout the implementation process and proactively resolve any arising challenges. The City Construction Investment Project Management Board must maintain high accountability, strictly monitor the construction process, and regularly inspect and evaluate the quality and progress of contractors. At the same time, they should proactively report and coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to promptly tackle difficulties during project execution.
