On the morning of April 22, in Binh Phuoc Ward, the Dong Nai Cashew Association hosted and held a working session with a delegation from the Cambodia Cashew Federation to exchange experience and promote cooperation in developing the cashew nut value chain in both Vietnam and Cambodia. Representatives from the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs and cashew processing enterprises in Dong Nai also attended the meeting.

At the session, Vu Thai Son, Chairman of the Dong Nai Cashew Association, provided an overview of cashew production, processing, and exports in Dong Nai in particular and Vietnam in general. He also shared effective linkage models among enterprises, cooperatives, and farmers within the cashew value chain.

The Cambodia Cashew Federation highly appreciated the processing capacity and export capabilities of cashew enterprises in Dong Nai in particular and Vietnam in general. Discussions focused on key issues such as developing raw material linkages, improving the quality of raw cashew nuts, applying science and technology in deep processing, and expanding trade cooperation toward building a sustainable and efficient cashew value chain.

Chairman of the Dong Nai Cashew Association, added that strengthening connections between Vietnamese and Cambodian cashew enterprises plays an important role in stabilizing raw material supply, increasing value added, and enhancing the competitiveness of cashew products from both countries in the global market. The engagement also opens up practical cooperation opportunities, contributing to promoting sustainable cashew value chain linkages, and jointly increasing the value and competitiveness of the cashew industry in the region.
