(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on Jan 25 held a meeting to review its activities in 2012 and discussed plans for 2013. Accordingly, the agricultural production value is estimated at more than VND8.8 tril in 2013, up 3.56%.

In 2012, although facing many difficulties such as unfavorable weather conditions and high agricultural raw materials price, the province’s agriculture - forestry - fishery sector still reported a year on year increase of more than 4 percent at VND7,416 billion.
Particularly, the planting sector reached over VND4,700 billion, breeding sector earned approximately 2,700 billion. Besides, the agricultural sector also made efforts to provide clean water to rural people, develop collective economy and build new rural areas.
