Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee attended the meeting.
Production value of construction sector in 2012 reached nearly VND13,950 billion, a year on year increase of 19.3 percent. The sector also granted 4,536 construction licenses to organizations and individuals.
In 2013, the construction sector targets to achieve a production value of VND4,550 billion. The housing projects will cover construction area of 3 million square meters with a total cost of more than VND3 trillion to tackle the shortage of accommodation for local state employees, workers, students and low-income earners.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai requested the department to concentrate on big projects such as new rural areas, social housing projects and urban areas projects.
