(ĐN)- With price increases in nine out of the eleven groups of items, Dong Nai’s consumer price index (CPI) this January is up 0.34% against the previous month, according to Department of Industry and Trade.

The groups of food and catering service, beverage-tobacco, household appliances, garment-footwear are mainly attributed to the province’s CPI growth of 0.34%.

The cost of postal and telecommunication services and the group of housing, power, water, gas, building materials saw a decline from December 2012.

At this time last year, the index surged 6.38%.

The biggest rise was in health services with 38 percent

Other groups like household appliances, catering service and garment-footwear witness price increases of 10.7%, 9.6% and 8.6% respectively.
