(ĐN)- The water level in Tri An hydropower plant in Dong Nai province has declined to an alarming level, only three metres higher than the minimum level required to maintain the plant’s operation. Currently only one of its four turbines is operational.

When full, Tri An Reservoir has a capacity of 2.7 billion cubic meters of water and the plant can produce about 1.7 billion kWh per year. However, the plant only generates around 1.1 million kWh this year due to severe shortage of water.
