Additional nine communes in Dong Nai, namely Tam An, Bau Can and Cam Duong in Long Thanh district, Song Nhan in Cam My district, Gia Canh in Dinh Quan district, Dak Lua in Tan Phu district, Vinh Thanh and Phuoc Thien in Nhon Trach district and Lo 25 in Thong Nhat district have been declared free of blue-ear pig disease.
The announcement was recently made by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh.
Dong Nai has culled nearly 30,000 sick pigs, with a total weight of more than one million kilograms, when the blue-ear disease hit the province’s 15 communes.
