Bosch expands investment in Vietnam

(ĐN)- Germany-based Bosch Group will set up a software and engineering center in HCM City in the third quarter of the year. This marks another milestone of Bosch’s continued investment in Vietnam.

(ĐN)- Germany-based Bosch Group will set up a software and engineering center in HCM City in the third quarter of the year. This marks another milestone of Bosch’s continued investment in Vietnam.

The main focus of this new center would include embedded software development, IT software and mechanical engineering services, adding some 500 engineers would be employed at the center by 2015.

Bosch started the Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT) push-belt production facility in Long Thanh Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province, in August 2008. The new high-tech plant will manufacture automobile push-belts used in CVT. Total investment is estimated at 55 million euros by 2015. The completion of the wholly-owned Gasoline Systems’ plant in the park is scheduled for the fourth quarter this year.

Although facing many difficulties due to the economic crisis, Bosch Vietnam reported a turnover of 10 million euros in 2009.
