Industrial production up 17.3% in Jan-May

(ĐN)- Dong Nai achieved an industrial production value of more than VND43.4 trillion in the first five months of the year, a 17.3 percent year-on-year increase, according to the Department of Industry and Trade.

The foreign-invested sector posted the highest industrial production value in the Jan-May period of all business sectors, reaching over VND33.3 million; the private sector came in second with a total value of more than VND5.2 trillion, and the State-run economic sector recorded the lowest value, earning around VND4.9 trillion.

 

Up to 8 out of 9 key industries enjoyed growth rates of 6-20 percent, including textile-garments-footwear, agricultural products, mechanics, chemical-rubber-plastic, wood products, electric-electricity, paper and building materials.
